La lista completa de temas estará desde el principio a disposición del jugador, pudiendo acceder a la canción elegida desde la pantalla principal sin necesidad de seguir el modo carrera. Además, el modo carrera también estará presente pudiendo evolucionar a través de la historia del rock de la mano de bandas como The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Vampire Weekend. Los jugadores tomarán el control desde el principio mejorara su experiencia musical al ser capaces de jugar con la combinación de instrumentos (múltiples vocalistas, guitarristas, bajistas y baterías) en cualquier modo de juego. Con el nuevo modo Party Play que ofrece el juego, conseguir unir a la banda nunca ha sido tan fácil. Los jugadores podrán unirse en cualquier momento de la canción sin interrumpir al resto de la banda.

Ya solo queda esperar a que termine el verano para volver a rockanrolear con Guitar Hero.
